Daniel, they really made it tough this time.... if you want a new camera, you need new software... software will only work with later OS.. later OS needs INTEL processors... leaved me out cause I have G5 which has "Power PC Processors".. To upgrade, its not like PC where you can swap the board, they expect you to buy all new MacPro OR they don't want to talk to you!

Before I switched to Mac, I had several PCs built for video editing but spent more time tech supporting them. IF I didn't have the glitches, I was quite happy with Premiere Pro!

In my estimation, this is no was to "Win Friends and Influence People"

My wife migrated from PC to Apple a number of years ago and was extremely happy about going all MAC. Recently however, as the operating systems change, she is a little less happy. Programs that ran beautifully on older OS's no longer work on the newer OS, and it is beyond annoying that hundreds of dollars have to be spent again on a good program that has been rendered obsolete by an "upgrade". We are also finding that many programs written strictly for the MAC require 3rd party add-ons to be totally functional. There are many professional programs that I use on the PC that can't be obtained for MAC and frankly I would be lost without them. I'm not sure why some of the companies refuse to make their programs MAC compatible, but maybe it is because of some of the reasons you mentioned, Daniel.

I agree. So I'm considering Boxx (boxxtech.com) as the source for my next computer. If I do switch I'll still keep my 2008 Mac Pro around as I have a lot of media on those Mac formatted drives.
